Walnut GSM/GPRS Modem USB Sim800

The GSM/GPRS Modem USB uses SIM800 based Quad band 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM / GPRS module. It can be connected to PC or laptop via USB directly or to a microcontroller UART using TTL levels.

The device consists of all the external circuit required to start experimenting with the SIM900A module like the power regulation, external antenna, SIM Holder, etc.

Inbuilt Quad Band GSM/GPRS based SIM800 module from SIMCOM. It works on frequencies 850/900/1800/1900MHz. SIM900A can search these bands automatically.

Frequency bands and baud rate (1200-115200) is configurable from through AT command.

The GSM/GPRS Modem is having internal TCP/IP stack to enable you to connect with internet via GPRS and best for GSM based Microcontroller Projects (better than SIM300,900a and other GSM Modems)

This GSM Switch allows switching almost any Industrial or household appliances On or OFF remotely via mobile network.

This device uses GSM cell phone network – 2G/3G/4G, easy working with SMS & Calling (DTMF) Commands. Using digital inputs one can get an extra SMS alert or call.

NOTE:

The modem consumes current of nearly 1A during transmission. Please make sure that your power supply can handle such currents.

The device is pre-tested before shipping, and we recommend using a 12V DC 2 Amps power supply & Use USB Cable to Connect GSM MODEM to PC or Laptop.
Please be very gentle with the SIM card tray while inserting or removing the SIM card, rough handling may damage the sim-card holder. Also don’t tighten the screws of the antenna too much, just make sure it is connected properly without exerting too much force to tighten the antenna.
